After losing the toss, we had to bowl well and our opening bowling pair put them under pressure - Ifti took 5 wickets, well backed up by Preet Kumar also (took 1 wicket). Alexandra Palace was always under pressure after losing 4 early wickets which allowed our bowlers (Abbasi 2 wickets), Hayder Ali (1 wicket), Tayyab Ali (1 wicket) to dismiss Alexandra Palace CC for 159 all out. Tayyab Ali, a youngster who played for us first time not only bowled with lot of control and discipline but also fielded very well taking 2 catches.

Our run chase didn’t start well, and we lost 3 early wickets. However, our game picked up with a top performance by Giordan with the bat, scoring 72 not out and Sakib Ali playing well for 42 runs. The all-round contribution from other batters helped us chase the runs and win the game.

This week’s win was crucial for 3rd team as we have come out of relegation and climbed to 3rd position from the bottom of the table!
