About South Hampstead CC

South Hampstead Cricket Club (SHCC) is a long‑established, community‑driven club based at Milverton Road in North‑West London. As proud members of the Middlesex County Cricket League, we run multiple senior men’s and women’s teams, alongside a thriving junior section for ages 7–17.

We combine competitive cricket with a warm, inclusive atmosphere, making SHCC a vibrant home for sport, coaching, and community engagement.

About the Role

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic scorer to support our senior squad throughout the season. This is a key match‑day role, ensuring accurate scoring, smooth communication, and reliable match reporting.

Role Type: Weekends (mainly Saturdays, with occasional weekday fixtures)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Reports to: Chair of Senior Cricket & Club Secretary

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record runs, wickets, overs, and player statistics.
• Work with captains and umpires to confirm match details and results.
• Use Play‑Cricket Scorer or similar digital scoring tools.
• Operate the electronic scoreboard (training provided).
• Support match‑day admin and reporting where required.

✔️ Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Basic understanding of cricket scoring (training available).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability on Saturdays during the season.
• ECB DBS check (the club will assist with this).

Training & Support

We will provide:

• Full scorer training, including digital scoring.
• Support with obtaining an ECB DBS check.
• Ongoing guidance from senior club staff.
